HOW IND VS PAK DEVELOPED?

India’s innings, anchored by Ishan Kishan’s 77, set the tone in tough batting conditions. Despite the early loss of Abhishek Sharma for a duck and a brief collapse to 126 for 4, combined contributions from Tilak Varma (25), Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh enabled India to reach a competitive 175 for 7.

Saim Ayub stood out for Pakistan with the ball as he claimed 3 wickets for 25 runs but his efforts were not enough to limit India’s scoring in the latter stages. Pakistan’s decision to field at first proved costly as their bowling unit struggled to contain India’s middle and lower order.

Chasing 176 for victory, the Pakistan batsmen faltered early and slumped to 34 for 4. Usman Khan briefly resisted with a knock of 44 from 34 deliveries, containing 6 fours and a six, but lacked meaningful support from the rest of the line-up. The team was dismissed for 114 in 18 overs, revealing significant batting deficiencies.

Indian bowlers put in a disciplined performance with Axar Patel taking 2 for 29 in 4 overs. Hardik Pandya (2 for 16 in 3 overs), Jasprit Bumrah (2 for 17 in 2 overs) and Varun Chakaravarthy (2 for 17 in 3 overs) were instrumental in dismantling Pakistan’s middle and lower order to ensure a dominant bowling display.

Pakistan’s tactical decision to field first after winning the toss backfired as the team failed to build pressure at crucial moments.
