Naidu, Jagan condoles death of BC leader Ilapuram Venkaiah

Prominent Backward Classes leader and former MLC Ilapuram Venkaiah died on Sunday, paying tribute to cross-party leaders who remembered him as a fighter for social justice and community welfare.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over his demise. In a statement, he said that Venkaiah worked tirelessly for the welfare and protection of the backward classes and consistently raised issues regarding their development and empowerment. Describing him as a simple and humble leader, the Chief Minister said his service to the BC community will be remembered and offered his condolences to the bereaved family.

Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed grief over the demise of the senior leader. Calling it an irreparable loss to the society, Tadepalli’s statement said Venkaiah’s dedication to public affairs will remain unforgettable. He expressed his condolences to the family.

Ilapuram Venkaiah was considered a vocal representative of the Backward Classes and a leader who dedicated his political life to protect their rights and welfare. Colleagues remembered him as approachable and principled.
