A 29-year-old man questioned by police in connection with the death of social media influencer Reshma (24), popularly known as Chinnu Pappu, was found dead at his home in Kasaragod district of Keralaon on Sunday afternoon (15 February 2026).
The deceased was identified as Sandesh, a native of Uliyathadukka in Kasaragod. He was busy polishing doors.
Police said Sandesh was called to the station as part of the investigation into the death of the influencer, who was found dead at Choori in Kasaragod on February 9. After his statement was recorded, he was allowed to leave. A few hours later, around 2:00 PM, Sandesh was found hanging at his residence.
After receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and completed the criminal proceedings. The body was taken to a hospital for an autopsy.
Officials said they are looking into whether there is any connection between the two deaths and have stepped up investigations to determine the circumstances that led to the incidents.
Family members and local residents are shocked by the death of the young man. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
