
Law enforcement officials continue to gather potential evidence as the search for the mother of “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie enters its third week.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen at her home in Arizona on January 31 and was reported missing the next day.

- A convoy of sheriff’s and FBI vehicles, including forensics units, drove through a roadblock set up about 2 miles from Nancy’s home. At the same time, both agencies flagged down and towed the Range Rover SUV from the Culver’s restaurant parking lot, located just over 3 miles from her residence. This came as the sheriff’s office also closed the road north of the Guthrie home.
2. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Saturday that authorities executed a federal court warrant Friday to search Nancy’s home in connection with the Guthrie case. According to the AP, the warrant was based on a tip the department received and no arrests were made.
3. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says it has received more than 13,000 tips since February 1. Meanwhile, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said it handled at least 18,000 calls related to the case.
4. The FBI announced Thursday that it has increased the reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of TV news anchor Savannah Guthrie, from $50,000 to $100,000, according to Reuters.
5. The agency also shared new visuals, including photos of the backpack the suspect was carrying in the video, along with an updated description. The suspect was described by the FBI as a man between 5’9″ and 5’10” tall and wearing a black, 25-liter backpack, according to the statement.
6. The sheriff’s department said investigators “recovered several pieces of evidence, including the gloves,” and noted that all usable evidence is being submitted for analysis. The agency did not provide further details.
7. Nancy’s longtime friend, Jacqueline Sharkey, described the 84-year-old as a constant, unifying presence in the groups she belongs to, including her church and local advocacy organizations. Speaking on CNN’s AC360, Sharkey said Guthrie’s disappearance caused a “huge tear in the fabric of the community.”

8. Her neighbors get more and more updates from law enforcement. Steve Lippman, Nancy Guthrie’s neighbor, told CNN he wishes authorities would release more information. While he acknowledged the sheriff’s extensive law enforcement experience, he noted that doesn’t necessarily mean the official is familiar with the specifics of the case.

9. Authorities used a high-tech Bluetooth scanner mounted on the undersides of law enforcement helicopters to detect Nancy Guthrie’s pacemaker signal, the Fox News report noted, adding that helicopters typically fly at low altitudes in grid patterns and at slow speeds to pick up those signals.
10. Chris Nanos promised that authorities would provide answers, but warned that it could take years. “It might be in an hour,” Nanos told The New York Times on Friday.
“It might be weeks or months or years. But we’re not going to give up. We’re going to find Nancy. We’re going to find this guy.” Nanos acknowledged that the process has been grueling due to the constant ups and downs, but stressed that the authorities will continue to press on.
