February 14, 2026

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur has once again shown why she is admired not only for her cricketing prowess but also for her compassion. Ahead of India’s multi-format tour of Australia, Harmanpreet shared a touching moment with a young fan who looked visibly distressed. Noticing the boy in discomfort, the captain approached him, gently took his hand, patted him on the back to comfort him, and asked how he was. The heartfelt gesture immediately caught the attention of onlookers and soon drew praise on social media.

Currently in Australia, Harmanpreet is preparing to lead India in a challenging series across formats. She will captain the team for the T20I leg of the tour, which begins on Sunday, February 15 at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground. As India prepares for an intense competition, Harmanpreet’s leadership and warmth continue to inspire fans on and off the field.

INDIA He works hard

Ahead of the series against Australia, Harmanpreet said India is focused on achieving its goals. She described the Australians as a formidable side and added that India will look to bring their A-game to outplay them.

“We are working really hard to achieve all our goals. Winning the World Cup (ODI) was one of them, so we are on the right track. We are just working really hard and hopefully we will continue to give our best whenever we play,” Harmanpreet told reporters.

“We know (Australia) are very strong. We’ve seen them play really good cricket for so long. One thing is very clear, whenever you go with a great mindset and a good, positive attitude, you can always bring out the best,” added Harmanpreet.

Harmanpreet appeared in good touch when India faced XI Women at the North Sydney Oval on February 13. Batting at No.4, she scored 26 off 23 balls, including two fours, as India secured a five-wicket victory.
