A six-year-old boy died allegedly during an MRI scan at a private diagnostic center in Greater Noida, with his family accusing the facility of negligence and administering expired medicine or an overdose, officials said on Saturday (Feb 14, 2026).
The facility was sealed on Friday (February 13, 2026) and a four-member committee was formed to investigate the incident, Dr told PTI. Chandan Soni of Gautam Buddha Nagar Health Department. “The exact cause of death is not yet known and will be determined after the investigation is completed,” Mr. Soni said.
The incident took place on Thursday (February 12) when the child, a resident of Dungarpur village, was taken to a diagnostic center located in the Pie-3 area for an MRI scan. Family members claimed that the boy was in normal health before the procedure, but negligence on the part of the center led to his death.
The boy’s father Vicky filed a complaint against the diagnostic center at the Beta-2 police station. “The FIR will be registered after receiving the medical examination report,” the police said. According to them, further investigation is underway.
