Pune police on Sunday took Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary to Lohagad Fort to recreate the crime scene of the Ketan Agarwal murder case. Police also used a mannequin of the victim’s weight to re-enact the events of June 18, when the 26-year-old real estate agent was pushed to his death.

“We brought Siya Goyal to the spot this morning and the scene was reconstructed based on her description of events. We created a dummy of the same weight as the victim, Ketan, to reconstruct the scene,” DSP Gajanan Tompe told ANI.
During the recreation of the crime scene, the claims of the accused about how and from where Agarwal was pushed away will be verified, police said.
Murder of Ketan Agarwal
20-year-old Sia Goyal and her 22-year-old lover Chetan Chaudhary have been arrested in connection with the murder of businessman Ketan Agarwal, who died after the duo was allegedly pushed from an isolated spot in the historic fort.
Ketan Agarwal and Siya Goyal, who both belonged to business families, got engaged earlier this year and were set to tie the knot in a lavish ceremony in Udaipur in November.
However, Siya Goyal, who was in a relationship with Chetan Chaudhary, was not willing to marry Ketan Agarwal. Siya reportedly told the police that she did not want to marry Agarwal and therefore planned with Chaudhary to kill him as she thought calling off the wedding would bring the family into disrepute.
After Ketan Agarwal’s death, his family claimed that Siya Goyal had tried unsuccessfully to push him down from the fort a few days ago.
On 18 June, Siya Goyal convinced Ketan Agarwal to accompany her to Lohagad Fort on the pretext of celebrating her birthday. According to the police, Chetan Chaudhary arrived at the location ahead of them and was wearing a sweatshirt and headphones covering his face. Police also revealed that Chetan Chaudhary had left his phone at his workplace and was using an employee’s phone in an attempt to avoid being tracked.

Police also revealed phone records that show thousands of calls between Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary linking the duo to the crime, which has no eyewitnesses. A CCTV video showing Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary meeting at a Pune cafe, a day before the murder, has also surfaced online.
Meanwhile, the Lonavala Rural Police has impounded a Chetan two-wheeler that was plying from Pune to Lohagad Fort. They also recovered the sweatshirt and earphones that the accused was wearing on the day of the incident.
Lonavala police confirmed that a forensic examination of the seized two-wheeler and the clothes worn by the accused on the day of the incident has been conducted.
