Already as part of a group of senior players, he has the respect of the dressing room and we are confident he will thrive in that role.”Sangakkara will continue in his dual role as director of cricket and head coach. Royals’ support staff also includes Vikram Rathour as Senior Assistant Coach, Shane Bond as Fast Bowling Coach, Trevor Penney as Assistant Coach and Sid Lahiri as Performance Coach as the franchise prepares for the upcoming season.Parag has appeared in 84 IPL matches to date, amassing 1,566 runs at an average of 26.10, including seven half-centuries.
