Odia singer Geeta Patnaik is currently in a critical condition after suffering a stroke on Friday. A co-singer of veteran Odia singer Akshaya Mohanty, Patnaik lent her voice to many super hits of old Odia songs like ‘Phur Kina Udigala Bani’ from the film ‘Jajabar’ and remained active in the industry for about three decades.
Patnaik was seized with restlessness while attending a literary meet in Bhubaneswar on Thursday evening and was rushed to Capital Hospital around 1 am. She was taken to a private hospital in Cuttack around 3 am.
