The tax department has submitted a proposal to the Karnataka High Court asking it to introduce automatic entry of writs in RTCs on the lines of revenue courts.
Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda pointed out that currently the revenue courts issue digital orders which are automatically reflected in the RTC in real time.
“Earlier, the orders issued by the Revenue Courts would have to be submitted by the petitioners for consideration in the RTC. However, as part of the revenue reforms, the Revenue Courts are now issuing them in a digital format which would be automatically forwarded for entry to the RTC,” he noted.
He said the Finance Ministry has now proposed to the Karnataka High Court authorities to provide access to the designated judicial officer to log into the system and enter the order of the High Court and Civil Courts in the RTC.
“Just as we have provided login access to AC and DC, we have proposed to provide similar access to the designated officer of the court,” he said. Negotiations are underway in this regard, he added.
