KARIMNAGAR
Minister for Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar has said that the Congress party will seize more than 80% of the civic organizations that went to polls across the state on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters in Karimnagar on Wednesday evening, he accused the BJP and BRS of spreading false propaganda against the Congress government and misleading people with false promises in the just-concluded civic polls.
He alleged that the BJP-led government at the Center had cut a raw deal with Telangana by sanctioning funds for various development works and projects in the last 12 years.
“BJP and BRS made a mockery of democracy by resorting to acts of intimidation and unethical practices during the municipal elections,” he charged.
He reiterated that the people of the state have re-trusted the Congress party in the civic elections for implementing various social programs and striving for accelerated development of Telangana.
