
Bollywood’s beloved comedian and actor Rajpal Yadav, who was arrested last week, is currently serving a six-month sentence in the check case. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor has filed a bail application which will be heard today, February 2.
When the focus is on Rajpal Yadav’s estimated net worth, his income streams and earnings, a Moneymint report suggests that the 54-year-old actor’s cumulative net worth stands at around ₹80 million crowns. Branding, promotions and real estate investments also contribute to his income stream, with film earnings across Bollywood and other regional industries being the major component of his income.
Actor Phir Hera Pheri reportedly owns a 5,000 sq ft house in Ratikheda village in Madhya Pradesh, awarded at ₹30 lakhs. He also owns 2.2 hectares of agricultural land worth around ₹40 lakh, according to a Moneymint report. Rajpal Yadav has moved into his inherited real estate and owns a property in Seth Enclave Colony near Kachhari, Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. In August 2024, the Reserve Bank of India sealed the property, which originally belonged to his father Naurang Yadav, due to unpaid loans of Rs. ₹11 million crowns.
According to information in the public domain, Rajpal usually charges fees ₹1–2 million per film. His fees are said to go as high as ₹3 million for high-profile projects.
He earns up to from the recommendation of the brand ₹1 million per project, as per industry standards. He is said to charge for every stage show or event ₹10-15 million. With an estimated average monthly income of approx ₹30–35 lakh, his annual income is believed to be somewhere in between ₹4-7 million.

On his work front, Rajpal Yadav will next be seen in the horror-comedy Bhoot Bangla, which is scheduled to release on April 10, 2026. He will also be seen in Akshay Kumar’s action-adventure Welcome to the Jungle, which is scheduled to release later this year.
Earlier this week, Rajpal Yadav surrendered in a Delhi jail in connection with the ₹Dispute over 9 million checks. He spoke about his financial hardship for the first time on February 5, moments before he surrendered in Tihar jail after the Delhi High Court rejected his request for an extension.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rajpal Yadav said, “Sir, kya karoon? Mere paas paise nahin hain. Aur koi upaay nahin dikhta (Sir, what should I do? I have no money to repay. I see no other way out).”
Actors Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Varun Dhawan, Sonu Sood and Gurmeet Choudhary, singers Mika Singh and Guru Randhawa have publicly supported Rajpal Yadav while some have extended financial assistance.
