T20 World Cup | Sahibzada Farhan on India vs Pakistan matches: ‘Not one-sided’
“To be honest, we are very excited to play. We came to know a day in advance that the match will be played. We are ready to play. We are watching all the teams. We are watching the bowlers and the batsmen,” Tilak said.“All players and team members are ready to play. We are now in the match zone. The planning will begin,” he added, hinting that India’s preparations for the match in Colombo are already underway.

What do you think is India’s biggest advantage going into the match?
Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate had earlier highlighted Pakistan’s potential advantage of staying longer in Sri Lanka, but Tilak stressed that India’s approach remained methodical. “We go one at a time in every match… we have video analysis, technology and we will see how the wicket behaves. Everyone has different shots and we will decide which bowlers to target,” he explained.Despite his natural attacking style, Tilak said he is ready to adapt his role depending on the match situation. Reflecting on India’s opener win over USA where wickets fell in droves, he revealed that head coach Gautam Gambhir encourages flexibility in the batting order.“Gautam bhai has asked us to play carefully if wickets fall quickly. Suryakumar bhai and I can anchor the innings if needed,” he noted.Tilak, who recently returned from injury, expressed his satisfaction at returning to the world stage. “I’m happy to be back in the World Cup side. The only goal is to help the team win the cup,” he said.
