BJP celebrates ‘Samarpan Diwas’ in Vijayawada to mark Deendayal Upadhyay’s death anniversary

The Bharatiya Janata Party observed Samarpan Diwas at its state office in Vijayawada on Wednesday to mark the death anniversary of its ideologue and senior leader Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. The program took place in a ceremonial manner with the participation of leading representatives and officials.

NTR district president Adduri Sriram, Lakshmi program organizer, state secretaries and other key leaders were present.

Addressing the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on February 11, Valluru state spokesperson Jayaprakash, as the chief guest, said the party continues to seek clarification on the episode. He said that Samarpan Diwas was observed as per the instructions of the national and state leadership to spread Upadhyaya’s ideals among the people.

Mr. Jayaprakash said Deendayal Upadhyaya played a key role in building the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the forerunner of the BJP, along with Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee. He noted that the philosophy of integral humanism propounded by Upadhyaya remains the guiding principle for national development and building a strong and united India. He described it as a comprehensive and inclusive vision and said the ideology continues to inspire the youth.

Party officials said the program is aimed not only at educating cadres but also at creating public awareness about Upadhyaya’s message, dedication and spirit of sacrifice.

Among those who attended were State Secretary Boddu Nagalakshmi, District Secretaries Kolapalli Ganesh and Paila Suresh, Dr. Lakshmi, Sharmila Khatoon, Ratnakumari, Praveen Jain Ranka and other functionaries.
