
The 96th State Conference of Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM), Kerala Chapter was held in Thrissur on Wednesday under the aegis of Jubilee Mission Medical College.
The conference was chaired by Dr. Kavitha Ravi, President of IAPM Kerala Chapter. Fr. It was inaugurated by Renny Mundenkurien, Principal, Jubilee Mission Medical College.
A national seminar on “Core Biopsies” was held as part of the scientific program. The session was led by Dr. Sheima R. Das, Head, Department of Pathology, Government Medical College, Manjeri. Pathology experts from across the state participated in the discussion.
During the conference, the new representatives of IAPM Kerala Chapter – Dr. Kavitha Ravi (President); Dr. Bindiya Gisuthan (Secretary) and Dr. Ruby Elizabeth Elias (Joint Secretary) – took charge.
The conference concluded with a firm resolution to promote quality assurance in all diagnostic laboratories, standardize service charges, ensure minimum wages for junior pathologists and seek government support for effective implementation of these measures across the state.
