PMK leader Anbumani on Tuesday urged the party’s youth wing to work hard to ensure that “the DMK does not retain power in Tamil Nadu” after this year’s assembly polls. He wanted DMK’s result in the poll to be limited to “single digit number of seats”.
Addressing a general meeting of the party’s youth wing, he claimed that while the DMK is running on money alone in this election, the PMK will face relying on people.
“We have entered into a good alliance – National Democratic Alliance led by AIADMK. This alliance will win in at least 200 constituencies. My wish is that DMK wins only by single digits. In Tamil Nadu, people from all sections are extremely angry with the DMK government. From government employees and teachers to women and youth, people from all sections are furious,” Dr. Anmani is furious.
“Assistant professors, nurses, teachers, doctors, panchayat secretaries, mid-day workers – DMK has given false promises to all categories of employees. Chief minister MK Stalin, who has done nothing for the people during the five years of DMK rule, has issued 26 notices in the last 45 days. Kalaignar Kanavu Illam – every day they maintain the Anbu Anbu Solayam scheme or the other scheme. Neither the officials who propose these schemes nor the Prime Minister they don’t know what it actually is and no funds are allocated for them,” he added.
Businessmen in the cabinet
He also criticized some state ministers. “EV Velu is not a (PWD) minister; he is a businessman. He will be counting prison bars in two months. He comes to our area and talks bad about us. DMK has allotted him 47 constituencies including Salem, Tiruvannamalai and Dharmapuri. At the village level, DMK members took the money safely and other stabumenuy transported four stabumenu there. in the cabinet,” he alleged.
