A total of 1,00,270 candidates (51.37%), including 37,893 in-service teachers, have qualified for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test January 2026, according to the results announced by the Directorate of School Education on Tuesday (February 10).
Out of the total number of qualified teachers on the job, they scored better (57.76) than other applicants (48.14).
The test saw participation of 1,95,181 candidates and a maximum of 71,198 for Paper-1 for Primary School Teachers, followed by Paper-2 Mathematics and Science (69,861) or Social Studies (54,122) for School Assistants. The results showed that even the maximum number of qualified candidates remained in the same order – paper-1 at 72%, 42.37% and 35.86% for paper-2.
