All arrangements are being made for the smooth running of the Mahasivaratri celebrations at the Siddheswara Swamy Temple, located deep in the Talakona forest in Chandragiri constituency of Tirupati district.

Temple trust board members and officials met Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Venkata Mani Prasad (Pulivarthi Nani) at his office on Tuesday to formally invite him for the upcoming festivities.

While inquiring about the progress of the development work at the temple, Mr. Nani directed the officials to conduct the festival in accordance with the doctrine of ‘Sanatana Dharma’ and not allow any scope for deviation from the religious guidelines laid down in the rules of the foundation.

Anticipating a large influx of devotees for the festive occasion, the MLA told the officials to take a proactive step in managing the queues and setting up food counters to distribute ‘annaprasadam’ to the devotees.

Later Mr. Nani released a new model and logo of the temple and also an annual calendar.
