Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu alerted the officials and directed them to ensure dignity, discipline and zero tolerance for mistakes in handling the devotees at Deeksha in Srisailam and ordered daily planning to handle the increasing turnout of pilgrims.

Mr. Naidu reviewed the arrangements and related matters at Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple from New Delhi on Tuesday.

He directed the officials to ensure that no misconduct or insensitive behavior is tolerated at any level and directed them to carry out day-to-day planning and dynamically adjust arrangements in line with the ever-increasing number of pilgrims.

Noting that the Mahasivaratri rush is expected to intensify further, Mr. Naidu asked the officials to put robust and proactive measures in place to prevent any inconvenience to the devotees. He emphasized the need for hassle-free crowd regulation, faster darshan for pilgrims coming from distant places and ensuring availability of accommodation. “Ensure that devotees who undertake arduous journeys observing Deeksha and wearing sacred garlands are treated with dignity and respect,” he said.

The Chief Minister asked Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy and Home Minister V Anita to personally supervise the arrangements and closely monitor the facilities and security measures. He further directed Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand to ensure full coordination among all departments, especially during peak days like Mahasivaratri, to ensure smooth running of festivities and hassle-free darshan for devotees.

Mr. Naidu stressed that public safety, convenience of devotees and effective inter-departmental coordination must remain top priorities during the festival season at Srisailam and other major Shiva temples across the state.
