Held as part of the National Research Conference at Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Higher Education Expo 2026 showcases cutting-edge research initiatives and innovations from over 50 institutions across the state.
The exhibition highlights the practical applications of academic research in a variety of fields, from neurodegeneration and marine sciences to digital technologies and sustainable agriculture.
Notable participants include the Center of Excellence in Neurodegeneration and Brain Health (CENABH) at Cochin University of Science and Technology. The centre, which recently won the Best Stall Award at the Kerala Science Congress, showcases its research on brain disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
Digital University Kerala exhibits developments in artificial intelligence, blockchain and cyber security with a focus on applications for public administration and social welfare. The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) has focused its demonstrations on sustainable marine resource management and seaweed-based value chains, ahead of the International Seaweed Symposium to be held at the university in March.
Kerala Agricultural University introduces more than 350 improved crop varieties along with climate resilient agricultural technologies. The Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) and the Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KELTRON) set up stalls featuring space technology and home electronics, including traffic control systems and communication hardware.
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram, presents a number of research projects ranging from eco-optics to biodiversity studies.
The exhibition is open to the public and provides a platform for students and budding researchers to interact with scientists and explore career opportunities in research.
