In particular, the discussions acknowledged the disappointment of Bangladesh’s non-participation in the T20 World Cup while reaffirming BCB’s status as a valued full member of the ICC. The global governing body highlighted the rich heritage of Bangladesh cricket and its key role in developing the sport, highlighting the country’s vibrant fan base of over 200 million supporters. The ICC has also made it clear that the absence of the national team will not have any long-term impact on cricket in Bangladesh.
