This camp in Abu Dhabi follows a productive pre-season tour in Udaipur from January 16 to 20, where both senior professionals and young players trained together. The back-to-back camps are aimed at helping the team settle in early and build cohesion before competitive action begins. Led by Shreyas Iyer, Punjab Kings are coming off one of their strongest IPL campaigns. They finished runners-up in the 2025 season, losing narrowly in the final to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who won their first IPL title with a six-run victory. Punjab topped the league table during the group stage with 19 points from 14 matches, underlining their consistency throughout the season. Iyer led from the front with the bat and amassed 604 runs while Prabhsimran Singh followed with 549 runs. Young batsman Priyansh Arya also impressed and finished with 475 runs. In the bowling department, Arshdeep Singh was the standout performer for Punjab with 21 wickets. His tally ranked him fifth among the season’s leading goalscorers. With unfinished business from last year, Punjab Kings will be hoping that their early preparation pays off as they chase their maiden IPL title in the upcoming edition.
