Nellore-based independent power producer SEIL Energy India Limited on Monday announced that it has bagged three top honors at the Center for Environmental Excellence (CEE) National Power Gen Water Management Awards in New Delhi recently.
These awards recognize excellence in sustainable water management and innovation in the thermal energy sector. B. Srinivas, Head (Operations Support & Asset Performance) and Thirumurugan Krishnan, Manager, SEIL Energy India received the award.
The company won three awards — National Water Efficient IPP Coal Plant of the Year, National Innovative Water Conservation and Optimization Practices Plant of the Year and National Water Efficient Unit – Coal (1,000 to 1,500 MW).
Commenting on this achievement, SEIL Energy India CEO Janmejaya Mahapatra said, “This recognition reflects our strong commitment to sustainable water management, operational excellence and environmental responsibility.”

The National Power Gen Water Management Awards recognize power plants that demonstrate outstanding leadership and adopt best practices for efficient water use across the thermal power sector.
SEIL Energy India uses only seawater for its operations and recycles treated water for green belt development. The company has planted more than 12,000 saplings in the last decade, greatly improving the green cover in the region.
