Fast trade is increasingly becoming an essential part of our lives, especially in metro cities like Mumbai and Delhi, where these services extend into the late hours of the night. However, this netizen decided to take advantage of the service’s unique advantage — he used it as an alarm clock for his sister, who had to catch an early morning flight.
In a viral LinkedIn post, Rishabh Agarwal, an investment banker, shared how he used Zepto to help his sister catch her flight on time.
“Zepto helped my sister catch her flight on time… My sister had a scheduled flight at 6am and asked mom to wake her up at 3am (not sure why an alarm wouldn’t be enough),” he wrote.
“At 3.15am, my mother called me in a panic that her phone was switched off. At that hour I either go to Powai from Parel (40 minutes) to check on her,” Agarwal continued. “…or I could just Zepto her.”

After that, the real test of his Zepto experiment began, and the rapid trading application passed with flying colors.
“The order was placed at 3:20 am, Vikas bhai (delivery partner) was informed about the situation and immediately agreed to help us. He was on standby with us for another 10 minutes and delivered the order at 3:30 am,” said Agarwal.
“On time, impeccable delivery service and immediate check that everything is in order,” he added.
He also thanked its co-founders, Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra, for building such an amazing platform! “Zepto was a security check for our loved ones today.

The viral post reached Zepto’s top brass, who laughed at their promotion from delivering alarm clocks to one and thanked Agarwal for the kind post.
“We deliver alarm clocks, we never thought we would become an alarm clock 😭,” commented Chandan Mendiratta, Zepto’s Chief Brand Officer.
Vikas Sharma, COO Zepto, thanked Agarwal for “a beautiful contribution on behalf of Vikas, the delivery partner.
“On behalf of Vikas Bhai (delivery partner), glad to know we could help here. Thanks for the lovely post,” Sharma wrote.
“From me, Proud of Vikas to go above and beyond to meet customer expectations. Thanks Rishabh Agarwal for sharing,” he added.
“Glad everything worked out! And big thanks to Vikas bhai for stepping in like a champ. Hope your sister had a comfortable flight,” commented Rachit R, Policy Director at Zepto.
Rajshree K, Director-Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, Zepto commented, “Stories like this really bring home what reliability means in real life, especially at odd hours. Kudos to the delivery partner and the kind of systems that make this possible 🙂”

Here’s how social media users reacted:
Social media users found the post amusing and made several jokes about Zepto’s potential future uses.
“You are disturbed, you are not aware, but you are!” said the user.
Another user asked: “Can we use Zepto to send a reminder to a friend not to use the phone after borrowing it :)”
“The most powerful product features are sometimes discovered by users, not designed in a roadmap,” quipped one.
However, the user pointed out that this would not be possible in a closed company, where delivery partners require approval to enter. “This wouldn’t be possible in a closed company because security wouldn’t allow a delivery person to go up without approval in the mygate/nobrokerhood app,” the user said.
