Former Deputy Chief Minister Peedika Rajanna Dora on Sunday expressed confidence that the YSR Congress Party would conduct the local body elections, citing the strength of its local network across all mandals in the Salur Assembly constituency of Parvatipuram-Manyam district. Mr. Rajanna Dora held an assessment meeting with party leaders from Pachipenta, Makkuva, Mentada and Saluru mandals to assess the party’s preparedness at the local level.

Talking to the media, he said that village level committees have been formed to strengthen booth level organization ahead of the elections. He said that separate committees are being formed for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Women and other sections to enable local leaders to study public issues and bring them to the notice of concerned officials in their respective mandals. Mr. Rajanna Dora alleged that TDP, Jana Sena Party and BJP have lost credibility in the last 20 months due to lack of development in the constituency and said that people are convinced that only YSR Congress party can ensure development and effectively implement welfare measures for all sections of the society.
