Traffic restrictions will be in force for two days in parts of Suraram in connection with the Kattamaisamma Jathara, the Cyberabad Traffic Police said on February 7.
The restriction will be in place from February 8 from 5:00 AM to February 9, 11:30 PM under the Jeedimetla Traffic Police Station limits.
To ensure the smooth running of the jathara and avoid traffic jams, the police said the movement of heavy vehicles will be regulated and diverted on selected routes during the period.
Heavy vehicles traveling from Balanagar towards Gandimaisamma will be diverted at JETL Industrial Area and taken along Dulapally road, taking a left turn at Bahadurpally junction and then proceed towards Gandimaisamma. Similarly, heavy vehicles moving from Gandimaisamma junction towards Balanagar will be diverted at Bahadurpally junction, routed through Dulapally village junction and then directed to the industrial area via JETL Kaman, Shapurnagar and Balanagar.
Traffic police appealed to commuters, especially drivers of heavy vehicles, to follow directions, plan their journeys in advance and cooperate with workers to ensure smooth traffic over the festive period.
