
The gold chain is handed over to the passenger on Friday at Solapur railway station.
A swift and coordinated action by the railway police attached to the Solapur division of the Central Railway led to the successful recovery of a gold chain which was accidentally lost by a passenger during a train journey on Friday.
The incident took place when the passenger was traveling in Train No. 11312, Hassan–Solapur Express. During the trip, the gold chain was inadvertently dropped into the bus’s toilet commode. Despite the immediate efforts of cabin crew, the ornament could not be traced at the time, leaving the passenger in distress.
A passenger seeking assistance registered a complaint through the Rail Madad portal in the early hours of February 6, 2026. After the train arrived at Solapur station, railway officials acted quickly on the complaint and initiated action.
Passengers were given advice and reassurance by railway officials. Subsequently, the Bio-Toilet maintenance team of the Carriage and Wagon Mechanical Department wing in coordination with Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel carefully picked up the gold chain from the bio-toilet tank.
The found ornament was safely handed over to the passenger in the presence of RPF personnel. The passenger expressed relief and appreciation for the quick response and compassionate assistance provided by the railway staff.
