As a gesture of support from the state government, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy handed over an ex gratia check of ₹ 1 crore to the families of the two constables who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Financial assistance has been extended to the family of excise constable Gajula Soumya, who died when she was run over by a car while on duty. Similarly, ₹1 crore was sanctioned to the family of police constable Pramod Kumar, who succumbed to his injuries after being stabbed by miscreants while on duty in October last year.
The Chief Minister personally handed over the checks to the bereaved families during a program in Nizamabad. He expressed his deepest condolences to the families and assured them of the government’s continued support.
