Smriti Mandhana has been through a lot, this win is for her: Shreyanka Patil

February 5, 2026

After Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s historic second title in the Women’s Premier League, Shreyanka Patil took time out during the post-match interviews to dedicate her victory to none other than captain Smriti Mandhan for leading the side to victory despite the personal setbacks she faced before the tournament began.

“I would say Smriti (Mandhana) because she has been through a lot in the last 1.5 months so this win is very special. I would like to dedicate this win to her,” said Shreyanka Patil.

“And Malolan Rangarajan again, the first time he is the head coach of the team and I think it’s a special win for all of us,” she added.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru put on a clinical display with the bat as the skipper and Georgia Voll amassed 87 and 79 in quick time to help RCB complete a record run.
