The Kodur railway police have booked Jana Sena Party (JSP) MLA Arava Sridhar for allegedly cheating a female employee in the ministry. According to Circle Inspector Chandra Sekhar, a case has been registered against him under Sections 318(2), 318(4) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The lawmaker has been in the news for quite some time for allegedly sexually harassing an employee.
A three-member inquiry committee constituted by the JSP visited the Kodur Railway on Tuesday and sought details from the legislator as well as the party cadre regarding the matter.
The MLA said he would follow the decision taken by party chief and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on the issue.
