California-based wealth management firm LPL Financial Holdings on Wednesday announced the opening of its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad.
The city was chosen for its deep financial services talent, strong infrastructure and business continuity benefits. Over the next 3-5 years, LPL Financial expects to create hundreds of roles in the new facility to support technology, operations, product development, data and analytics, and risk management. “GCC will leverage the impressive talent pool in Hyderabad, enabling us to build integrated teams focused on creating next-generation technology that will set a new standard in financial services,” said Chief Technology and Information Officer Greg Gates.
GCC is seeking talented individuals to join a team that includes experienced engineers and technologists in network security, core infrastructure, AI engineering, data platforms, middleware and software development, the Nasdaq-listed Fortune 500 company said, also announcing the appointment of Ramesh Kaza to head the new operation.
As Executive Vice President, Country Head, Mr. Kaza joins GCC from State Street, where he was Chief Information Officer for India. He previously worked at Bank of America, Fidelity Investments and GE Capital. In addition to his professional experience, he is an active community leader and served as the Chairman of United Way of Hyderabad during COVID. In 2023, he was appointed General Secretary of the Society’s Security Council for Cyberabad, where he works with the Cyberabad Police and industry leaders to increase safety and security in the Cyberabad jurisdiction.
