SAKSHAM 2025-26, the oil industry’s flagship outreach initiative promoting oil and gas conservation and adoption of sustainable energy practices, was inaugurated by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar here on Tuesday.
Mr. Arlekar said that taking vows alone is not enough; true commitment to nature should be practiced throughout the year. He urged everyone, especially the youth, to preserve and conserve the plants already planted and those planned for the future.
Sabyasachi Gupta, General Manager (GM), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., who represented the State Level Coordinators for Kerala and Lakshadweep, in his keynote address said that energy is not just an economic resource but a strategic asset, a social responsibility and a moral obligation to future generations. He also emphasized that every unit conserved equals energy produced without harming the planet.
