YSR Congress Party State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Monday warned that the alleged attacks by the Telugu Desam Party are being closely monitored and the time will come when the TDP will have to pay for its actions, strictly according to the law once the YSRCP returns to power.

Addressing the media along with former minister Jogi Ramesh, whose house was reportedly set on fire, and other leaders at the former minister’s camp office near Ibrahimpatnam, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said the YSRCP would settle the scores legally and that it would be a gift in return to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, under whose command the attacks were allegedly carried out as part of TDPvintdic politics.

He alleged that the state was witnessing a dictatorial regime, which was evident from the TDP activists resorting to physical attacks instead of allowing the government to follow the law if YSRCP leaders had indeed committed any wrongdoing, be it in Tirupati Laddu forgery or any other matter.

Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy accused the police of acting at the behest of the ruling party and alleged that cases were registered against the victims instead of the miscreants who unleashed the reign of terror. He said the police failed to restrain the TDP activists as violence broke out in Guntur and Ibrahimpatnam.

He further alleged that the recent attacks were aimed at diverting public attention from the Tirupati Laddu dispute. The YSRCP would take up the issue at the national level by filing complaints with the Union Home Minister and the National Human Rights Commission on the alleged breakdown of law and order in the state, he said.

Former Ministers Velampalli Srinivas, Karumuri Nageswara Rao, Ch. Among those present were Venugopala Krishna, Merugu Nagarjuna and Pinipe Viswaroop.
