Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar launched the BJP’s civic election campaign for the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC) by performing puja to the campaign vehicles and addressed street corner meetings in Karimnagar on Monday.
At a roadside meeting in Kisannagar on Monday evening, Mr. Sanjay alleged that the ruling Congress dispensation has failed to release a single pie for the KMC in the last two years.
He attacked the BRS and accused its leaders of looting public money and indulging in land grabbing during the 10 years of BRS rule.
He alleged that the BRS rulers had diverted central funds. “Give the BJP the mandate to run the KMC and I will take the responsibility of bringing more funds to the civic body,” he said, urging the residents of Karimnagar to vote for BJP candidates in the February 11 civic polls.
