February 2, 2026

Alex Pretti’s shooters have reportedly been identified as Jesus Ochoa and Raymundo Gutierrez. Jesus Ochoa and Raymundo Gutierrez are both Customs and Border Protection officers, ProPublica reports

Pretti was the second person killed by federal agents in Minneapolis during the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration. The incident was reported days after another immigration agent shot and killed another protester in Minneapolis, a 37-year-old mother of three named Renee Good.

Who did Jesus eat long ago and Raymundo Gutierrez?

The two federal immigration agents who shot Minneapolis protester Alex Pretti have been identified in government records as Border Patrol agent Jesus Ochoa and Customs and Border Protection officer Raymundo Gutierrez, ProPublica reported.

Records reviewed by ProPublica identify Ochoa, 43, and Gutierrez, 35, as the shooters during the shootout last weekend that left Pretti dead.

Both men were reportedly assigned to Operation Metro Surge, an immigration dragnet launched in December that sent dozens of armed and masked agents around the city.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which employs the two men, has so far declined to release their names and has released few other facts about the deadly incident.
