The BJP’s state unit on Sunday welcomed the Union Budget 2026-27, describing it as a blueprint for Viksit Bharat and a reflection of stable governance committed to nation-building.
BJP state president PVN Madhav said that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has proved that the vision of a developed India can be realized only by a stable government. In a statement, he said the budget focuses on long-term growth through major investments in manufacturing, technology and infrastructure. Key announcements included ₹40,000 crore for Semiconductor Mission, ₹10,000 crore for biopharma and container manufacturing, development of chemical parks and research centres, modernization of NIPER, new mega textile parks and support for small and medium enterprises, micro industries and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
Valluru BJP chief spokesperson Jayaprakash Narayan welcomed the budget and called it a “blueprint for Viksit Bharat in 2047”.
The budget was solutions-led and focused on youth jobs, income security for farmers and helping the middle class through investment in infrastructure, skills development, manufacturing and digital economy initiatives.
Highlighting Andhra Pradesh-specific allocations, he said the NDA government has shown a clear commitment to the development of the state. For Amaravati, the Center has allocated around ₹ 1,128.91 crore, including ₹ 432.09 crore through IBRD funding for integrated urban development. Other allocations included ₹800 million for urban drinking water and sanitation, ₹500.99 million for rural roads and ₹350 million for road and bridge rehabilitation.
He also noted that Central Research Grants have been announced for several educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh under the Ministry of Atomic Energy and Space.
BJP leaders said the budget ensured economic stability, strengthened cooperative federalism and marked a milestone in India’s journey to becoming a developed country.
