As the Tirupati Laddu adulteration controversy deepened, the government on Sunday (February 1, 2026) transferred TTD Executive Director Anil Kumar Singhal with immediate effect and directed him to hand over the charges to Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary and report to General Administration Department.
Special Principal Secretary to the CM, M. Ravichandra, has been appointed in-charge of EO TTD with instructions to take charge expeditiously.
Mr. Singhal was at the helm of affairs in TTD when ghee was suspected to be adulterated during the YSR Congress Party regime.
The special investigation team probing the ghee adulteration case reportedly found that Mr. Singhal failed to detect the problem early and even after the incident came to light, he did not take necessary action against those involved in the extortion.
