CJ Roy, founder and chairman of Confident Group, died of a bullet in the left side of his chest, said Aravind MN, medical superintendent of Bowring Hospital. He added that a single 6.35mm bullet pierced Mr Roy’s heart and passed through his lungs to his back.
“It was almost a through injury, except that there was no injury. In our opinion, he could have collapsed and died immediately,” Mr Aravind said.
According to him, the CT scan was performed as part of a routine procedure. The bullet was recovered and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). An autopsy was conducted on Saturday after which the body was handed over to the family.
