Thinking out of the box and embracing innovation is essential to accelerate national progress, Telangana Government’s Urban Transport Adviser NVS Reddy said on Monday.
Addressing the annual general meeting of the Osmania University MBA Alumni Association, Mr. Reddy highlighted the leadership qualities needed to excel in managerial roles. Based on his experience of implementing the Phase-I Hyderabad Metro Rail project under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, he spoke about the risks and the importance of quick decision-making in solving complex challenges.
He said effective leadership requires strong domain knowledge, courage of conviction, integrity, empathy and good communication skills. Mr. Reddy also explained the unique features of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project, several of which are now being emulated by metro systems in other cities. Later, he distributed honorary certificates to the toppers of the recently completed MBA program. President of the Jyotsna Alumni Association and other members were present, according to a press release.
