Police have arrested the father of a one-year-old boy who died under suspicious circumstances earlier this month in Neyyattinkara. Accused Shijil allegedly confessed to causing the child’s death by punching him in the stomach. Ihan, son of Shijila and Krishnapriya Kanjiramkulam, collapsed and died on January 16. The death reportedly occurred after the child ate a biscuit given to him by Shijil. After the incident, the Neyyattinkara police questioned both the parents.
