
Bharatiya Janata Party president Ram Madhav, who has been named in-charge of the upcoming Greater Bengaluru Area (GBA) civic polls by the party, on Wednesday said the Bengaluru civic polls were nothing less than an assembly battle for the state.
On the social media platform, X thanked BJP National President Nitin Nabin for appointing him in charge of GBA polls, he said that GBA polls is very prestigious as it is a conglomerate of 5 companies which includes several cities and more than 120 villages apart from Bengaluru city. With more than 9 million voters and 369 constituencies of the corporation, it is nothing less than an assembly battle.
“Local body elections are fought and won purely on the basis of local agenda and the strength and hard work of local karyakartas,” he said, adding that he would soon meet all stakeholders including the party’s elected representatives from the city.
