
Minister of Social Welfare for Minorities N. Md. Farooq said that the state government was widely promoting Araku coffee and urged the public to promote the brand.
Inaugurating the Araku Coffee stall at the PGRS Hall of the District Collectorate along with Collector Rajakumari Ganiya and Joint Collector Kollabattula Karthik on Wednesday, the Minister said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has prioritized the promotion of Araku Coffee and requested to set up stalls at all district collectors as part of it. “Araku coffee is produced in our state and has gained international recognition. Every person should enjoy coffee and promote it,” said the minister.
To encourage DWCRA women, loan was sanctioned to women SHGs to set up stalls in the Collectorate, he said and asked the stall managers to ensure taste and quality for the consumers.
Meanwhile, Ms. Rajakumari Ganiya said the cost of the Araku coffee stall was ₹6,000 and the government provided 35% subsidy and the rest as a bank loan to set up the stall.
