A dozen flights were diverted to the Kempegowda International Airport on Thursday evening due to bad weather.
Airport officials said there were 12 diversions and several flights were also delayed.
Many airlines have issued travel advisories regarding the bad weather and that flight schedules have been affected.
“Bad weather over Bengaluru has affected flight schedules. We are monitoring the weather closely and doing our best to get you where you need to go safely and smoothly,” said the passenger advisory issued by IndiGo.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) data said Kempegowda International Airport received 16.6 mm by 5:30 p.m.
