
The Jagannatha Center for Arts and Culture (JCAC) will host the Uttarayana Arts and Culture Festival at its Vijayanagar premises from January 23 to 27. The five-day festival aims to provide artists with a vibrant platform.
The festival will offer musical concerts (Carnatic and Hindustani), theatre, dance, film screenings, art exhibitions, workshops, discussions, quizzes and literary events held simultaneously on several indoor and outdoor stages of the JCAC.
Renowned artists like Mysore M. Manjunath, Vyjayanthi Kashi, B. Suresh, Ravi Joshi, Lakshmisha Tholpady, Nirupama Rajendra, Dundiraj and BR Lakshman Rao among others will participate in the various programmes.
Organized during the auspicious season of Uttarayana, the festival aims to strengthen Mysuru’s position as a cultural hub while creating opportunities for artists and art lovers of all ages, according to a press release.
