The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) during an operation on Monday seized government land measuring 6.12 acres in Medchal Malkajgiri district from the owner of a reputed educational institution which had created an “unauthorised” layout on the land.
The plot in the Divya Nagar area of Kachavani Singaram village in Ghatkesar Mandal was the center of action last year too when HYDRAA pulled down the illegally elevated walls of the complex by the same offender, a HYDRAA statement said.
Officials said the unauthorized layout was developed on adjoining private land and spread to government land where plots were created and sold.
Based on the complaint, HYDRAA conducted a field inspection along with the officials of the concerned departments. Based on the report of the Deputy Director of the Department of Land Surveying and Land Records, a fence was erected around the state land, which erased about 50 parcels in that extent. The attacker tried to defend the operation but to no avail, the statement said.
