
Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) will showcase India’s achievements in implementing energy efficiency programs at the four-day India Energy Week 2026, scheduled to begin in Goa on January 27. It will focus on Andhra Pradesh’s progress in large-scale installation of LED lights, highlighting substantial savings in energy consumption, costs and carbon emissions.
According to a press release issued by EESL (South) Media Advisor A. Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Andhra Pradesh will be showcased as a pioneer state that has distributed about 2.20 million LED bulbs. This initiative resulted in energy savings of 2,863 million kWh and cash savings of nearly ₹1,145 million. The state’s performance contributed significantly to national savings of 47,882 million kWh and ₹19,153 million.
