Day two of the 2026 Australian Open promises plenty of excitement as some of the sport’s biggest names begin their campaigns and rising stars look to make their mark.
The morning sessions at Melbourne Park will feature a mix of established stars and hungry challengers. Coco Gauff, seeded third, will face Thailand’s Kamilla Rakhim, while Alex de Minaur, seeded sixth, will face American qualifier Mackenzie McDonald.
At the Margaret Court Arena, Daniil Medvedev takes on Jesper de Jong and Amanda Anisimova takes on Simona Waltert, giving fans something to look forward to early in the morning.
The evening sessions promise even more drama. Iga Swiatek, the second seed, begins her campaign against qualifier Yuan Yue, while Novak Djokovic returns to Rod Laver Arena face Pedro Martnez. On Margaret Court, Donna Veki takes on Mirra Andreeva and Casper Ruud takes on Matteo Bellucci.
Meanwhile, John Cain Arena will see Ajla Tomljanovic Battle Qualfier Yulii Staropodubtsev and Alex Popyrin Mes Alexandre Miller.
With the top seeds in action and opportunities for early upsets, Day 2 promises to be an exciting mix of high-quality tennis, athleticism and drama for fans at Melbourne Park.
