Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips left India in turmoil with their record-breaking partnership in Indore during the third ODI on Sunday, January 18. Mitchell scored his fourth hundred against India while Phillips, who started slowly, scored a dazzling century as a duo they put on 219 runs from 186 balls for the fourth wicket.
It was a record as it was the highest partnership by a New Zealand duo against India in India, surpassing the previous partnership of Tom Latham and Ross Taylor in 2017 during a match at the Wankhede Stadium. Mitchell scored 137 while Phillips got 106 as they bailed the Blackcaps out of a tough spot early on.
