January 17, 2026

Melania Trump, the wife of United States President Donald Trump, has shared a new clip from her upcoming movie ‘MELANIA’, which is slated to hit theaters on January 30 this year. Netizens questioned whether he also wanted the Nobel Peace Prize, as Trump actively lobbied for last year’s Nobel Peace Prize by pointing to what he described as efforts to end eight wars.

What does the video show?

The 10-second video opens with the classic Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) roaring lion logo, complete with “An Amazon Company” at the bottom. This cuts to shots of a woman (reminiscent of Melania Trump) dressed in black getting out of a black SUV accompanied by a man in a suit, possibly in a formal or official setting.

The scene then cuts to a series of shots of a snowy highway with traffic, including cars driving through wintry conditions, road signs and a 25 mph speed limit. At the end, the title “MELANIA” is displayed in bold white text on a plain background.

Netizens react

One user said, “Can you please premiere the movie in China?” Another commented: “Oh!! I can’t wait to see it!” “Epic” commented a third. “Oh it’s happeningggg”, “This will be great”, “You want a Nobel prize too? Ask Trump to buy you another one” were some other reactions.

What does the previous trailer show?

An earlier trailer opens with Melania Trump entering the rotunda of the US Capitol ahead of Trump’s second inauguration. Dressed in her now famous inaugural outfit, she faces the camera and says:

The clips shift between scenes of the inauguration, moments with President Trump outside of Mar-a-Lago, and behind-the-scenes looks including Barron Trump and Melania Trump’s father. In one scene, the first lady walks into a room where Trump is on stage rehearsing a speech during a meeting.

My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker,” Trump says. The trailer then shows Melania Trump exiting the vehicle wearing black stilettos and walking into the East Wing residence, where she appears in a black and white inaugural ball gown and smiles directly into the camera.

Viewers are invited into the “history of witnesses in the trial”.

The mood changes as the trailer shows the first lady asking a security officer, “Is this safe?” The agent replies, “It’s safe.”

Sirens blare as the presidential motorcade passes through the city, accompanied by a sign that reads, “20 days to become the first lady of the United States.”

The trailer ends with Melania Trump calling Trump to congratulate her.

“Mr. President… congratulations,” he says.

On the phone, Trump replies, “Did you watch it?”

“No. Yeah, I’ll see it on the news,” Melania replies.

MELANIA began filming in December 2024. The film is executive produced by Donald Trump and Fernando Sulichin of New Element Media and directed by Brett Ratner of RatPac Entertainment.
