
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off India’s first sleeper train Vande Bharat from West Bengal’s Malda Town railway station on Saturday. This was followed by the opening of several worthwhile rail and road infrastructure projects ₹3,250 crores.
PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate several upcoming development projects worth mentioning ₹830 crore at Singur in Hooghly district on Sunday, January 18.

As a premium alternative to domestic flights, the new sleeper train is operated and maintained by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) zone. Designed and built in India, it contains 16 carriages and boasts a capacity of 823 passengers. This premium train includes 11 three-decker AC coaches, four double-decker AC coaches and 1st class AC coaches.
Designed to offer luxury travel, it will cover the distance between Howrah and Guwahati (Kamakhya). offers key amenities to make long-distance travel easier for passengers. These key additions to this premium train include economically designed beds, CCTV, showers in washrooms, smart automatic doors for smooth movement between coaches, pens for pet owners, emergency contact button and various charging options.
In addition to these extras, it offers several essential amenities such as user-friendly ladders for safe access to the upper berth, sanitary toilets, centralized monitoring, ample storage space and legroom.

Now the question arises regarding the Vande Bharat sleeper train ticket price considering the facilities offered. The price of the 3rd AC ticket will be approx ₹2,300 2-AC is estimated to cost approx ₹3,000, and a 1-AC ticket will cost around ₹3,600, Hindustan Times reported.
